Mental Health
The Wellness (or Mental Health) Department will screen your child’s behavior within the first 45 days to flag any potential issues they may display at school or at home. Doing this equips teachers and parents with the tools to help the specific requirements of every child, with behavioral strategies and information on mental health for kids.
We ensure that no child is forgotten by following up with observations on every child who received a low wellness score. Then, the department (led by a licensed social worker) will conduct meetings to decide on a unique action plan to help the child. We will craft an internal child plan to tackle challenging times of day, offering additional support if needed.
Our resources available for parents and teachers include books and informational pamphlets they can use whenever needed. Parents are made aware of any mental health issues and are urged to play an active role in their mental well-being through counseling and support referrals.
