Expectant Moms
Early Head Start, or EHS programs, serve expecting moms and young children. Through these programs, low-income pregnant women, babies, and toddlers under three can access intensive, all-encompassing child development and family support services.
As the attachments formed in the early days of childhood lay the groundwork for life, support for expectant mothers is a must. Young children need physical health, strong family connections, and positive exposure to learning experiences, and educating expectant mothers on this before their baby arrives is invaluable.
Expectant families who are prepared for the baby’s arrival through referrals to essential services, tips on nutrition, and guidance, will raise happier and healthier kids. Laying solid foundations will shape their life’s trajectory well into adulthood.
